He received a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Standford University in 1965 and a master's degree from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1970. He went on to earn a doctorate in computer science two years later. Later on, he began working at Stanford, where he focused on electrical engineering and computer science.
Vinton Cerf is most well-known for his role in co-creating the Internet. Cerf was also one of the main creators of the TCP and IP systems used throughout the internet today. He and his partner, Robert Kahn, have recieved several awards and been recognized on many occassions for their work.
